Depends on your contract but lots of places have a “use it or lose it” policy going into the new year. Others will let you carry some or all of it over into the new year.
You get paid for holiday already, if you choose not to take it you can’t “sell it back” for extra money, no
Well you can ask a bunch on the internet who don’t know who you work for or what your contract is.
Or ask your employer.
You need to take the statutory minimum, your employer should enforce this. Beyond that it’s local policy.
I’ve had an employer pay me for unused leave at the end of an FTC. I think was up to 5 days, similar to how a permanent role would let you carry 5 over.
If it is not detailed in your contract then I would expect it to be a ‘use it or lose it’ policy.
Legally, at the end of any employment contract the employer must pay you for any accrued statutory annual leave which you have not used.
