Is it normal to have casual texts or DMs develop into long messages back and forth? Sometimes people reply to an Instagram story post, or just text me “Hey man! What’s new!” and then the messages gradually balloon to great lengths until someone forgets/decides not to answer. Sometimes me. I end up feeling like I’m trapping them in a conversation and maybe asking too many questions and they’re just being polite.
