Lately I’ve seen notifications for posts in this subreddits that end up getting locked either by the time I see it or shortly after. What’s the point of locking a comment thread? If a post topic is creating so much controversy within the community why not simply remove it entirely? Locking it seems silly because whatever antagonizing or divisive remarks are still viewable.

All posts containing the sentence “I told her she was fat” should be removed. Or pinned. It’s one or the other.
