  1. US letter sized paper is about the same as A4. Most Americans probably have no idea what A4 is.

    >US Letter paper has a width of 215.9 mm with a length of 279.4 mm. US Letter is defined by the ANSI and used throughout North & South America. It is the standard copy paper sheet and can be used in most home and office printers. A4 sheets have a width of 210 mm and a length of 297 mm

  2. No, the most common paper size is called “Letter Size”. It’s 8.5 in (21.59 cm) by 11 in (27.94 cm).

  3. Almost never. It’s very difficult to find and I can only think of using it to test out software/hardware that needs to print on it. Or maybe some bureaucratic requirement for paperwork being sent overseas.

  4. At work everything is letter sized, 8.5″x11″

But at home I have a lot of A5 and some A6. I like Japanese stationary stuff.

  5. No, in North America (and some South American countries) we use ANSI paper sizes. The analogue to A4 is Letter size, which is 8.5 by 11 inches, or 216 by 279mm.
