3. I don’t know about London, but everybody I know has a full size fridge-freezer about 6 feet tall. I imagine that in London space might be at a premium which could mean it’s less common.

4. I’ve never lived anywhere that had a mini-fridge, just normal-sized under-counter ones.

5. No, landlords, particularly in big cities, are arseholes. Maybe they’re less so in other countries so then I suppose it would be cultural 🙈 it’s one thing not to have any/all appliances in a rented property (fridge/freezer, oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher etc.) But a kitchen that doesn’t have room is ridiculous, but seems to be something we’re seeing more of in London as owners know they can get away with it more and more.

7. No. This is because some of these awful new conversion flats are ridiculously small and /or landlords are too cheap to supply a proper one.

   It’s a space thing… you’re probably referring to under-the-counter fridges / freezers? I’d say semi-common where space is a constraint, rather than give up counter space, you have a smaller fridge and freezer integrated underneath.

10. You mean an under counter fridge, and yes they are very common and normal. People like them as they can be easily integrated into your kitchen and save space. Personally I don’t like them, they’re too small.

11. An under counter fridge with another under counter freezer is normal nowadays. An under counter fridge with just a wee icebox in the top was normal in the 70s and 80s.
