  1. Some of the most common stereotypes about my country that I see in Hollywood movies are that everyone is poor, uneducated, and lives in squalor. While there are certainly areas of my country that fit this description, it is far from the whole story. My country is a beautiful, diverse place with a rich culture and history. I would love to see Hollywood movies that reflect this reality instead of perpetuating outdated and harmful stereotypes.

  2. Im tired of seeing Native Americans all portrayed as the same kind of Plains/Lakota looking tropes in every thing…..we all look different

  3. Well they don’t make Hollywood movies about my country but Nicki Minaj is from where and a lot of us wish she would just stop.

  4. I’m tired of seeing teachers as wise when most of them are just normal people like everyone else.

  5. I’d like to see the twist where the murdering cartel drug dealer ends up being a Canadian from Manitoba or Calgary

  6. Dumb redneck that’s blatantly racist. I’ve only seen it in the movie Identity thief but I’m sure it’s in other movies too

  7. The only movie that I recall was “about” my country was Submerged (yes… Steven seagal). OMG! HAHAHA. I cannot begin to explain how wrong everything that happened in that movie would never happen in my country.

  8. Not country but Appalachia.Tired of seeing horror movies make it out to be some kind of terrifying place.

  9. Canada eh, I get so darn upset at how nice they portray us all to be eh, like oh man I just get so worked up, It just makes me want to throw a pencil right at the wall! Sorry guys, that was uncalled for…I’m really sorry and I hope I didn’t offend anyone eh…

  10. According to Hollywood, Australia consists of Bondi Beach and “the outback” which is either Coober Pedy or Kakadu National Park.

There are other places, lots of them actually.
