Backstory: back in August 2020 when I got with my gf, I realized she never let me go over to her apartment. I figured because her little brother (25) lives there and doesn’t want to subject him to me being there or hear us having sex. I had gotten an apartment a few months later and she would regularly come over all the time. We broke up in December 2020 and after me moving back in town, we started talking again and working on a relationship again. Her brother finally moved out but she still won’t let me go over. Can I get an opinion on this ?

She might be embarrassed of her home. And not be able to afford to decorate it.
She may not feel comfortable having guests. I’m like this cos police watch my house. I never know when my adult son will burst in. my dog gets very jealous and possessive of me.
I really can’t relax nor enjoy myself.

I’m one of these people that don’t like bringing girls home, I prefer paying for a room in a hotel or going to her place.

I have kids and wouldn’t bring a guy over unless I know he’s serious so yea
I have so much nerd stuff in my apartment that I am hesitant to let guys come over tbh. It could be something harmless like she doesn’t want you to see her collection of unicorn figurines.
On one hand, she may be embarrassed of her home. I remember when I got a kitten and didn’t want visitors, because my apartment was a mess. But then again, if I was seriously seeing someone, I would’ve let still them in, because that’s the mess they’re choosing to put up with when dealing with me. So imo, it’s kinda weird she’s not letting you in after knowing you for literally 2 years now. Could be hiding something. You should ask what’s up.
Maybe someone in her past made a really negative comment about her apartment being poor, ugly, in a bad neighborhood, cheap, messy, etc. Maybe she is depressed so it’s a mess and she doesn’t want you to judge her or make her seem less than. Maybe she’s growing psychedelic mushrooms in it. You never know.
