For me it’s always breen weird that this person I like/love that I’ve known for a couple months takes up all my time and the friends I’ve know for 10+ years get put on the back burner. That may sounds selfish but it’s always been hard cause I’ve dated ladies that feel I should be obsessed with them or never see my friends.

It’s always confused me that monogamy is considered to be the default or standard. Yeah it works for some people, but it also really doesn’t work for others
I think it’s weird that we mix up sex with friendship, companionship, and housing.
Mostly everything about them. I guess “weird” isn’t the right way to put it though, more like I’m just unable to understand. I’ve never felt romantically or sexually attracted to anyone so I cannot comprehend why it’s important to a lot of people. Friendship rings where everyone has each other’s backs are what I value the most, so I guess relationships just take that security to another level? That I can get, just not the personal feelings or need for physicality though.
I’m always confused that having sex with more than one person is against the rules of monogamy and called “cheating”, but having sex with zero people isn’t.
