What do you talk about on a first date?

  1. I try to alleviate whatever nervousness the man has by making a few observational jokes, kind of get them to relax a bit. Then I throw a topic out there (not sex, money, politics or valuables) and let them speak… I try to begin an exchange rather than a soapbox/interrogation.

First dates should feel more like hanging out than a stiff, uptight formal event… to me, at least.

  2. First question every single person seems to ask -> what do you do for work or what major you’re pursuing if you’re in school.

After that it’s all about hobbies, interests, and experiences to see if there are mutual interests as well as lifestyle compatibility.

  3. Conversations just seem to flow, and if they don’t it’s not a great sign… but normally it revolves around hobbies, childhood and family – where each of us is from etc, fun things we could do together, goals and passions, love languages… it goes on
