I found Irish spring bar soap to be best for me. Tried using Dove for men bar soap and it leaves a thicker residue and doesn’t clean as well as Irish spring. Also, body wash leaves me fragrant but I still smell musky.

  1. Duke Cannon’s Big Ass Brick of Soap…. nothing is better. I find them on sale at Marshall’s/TJ Maxx stores sometimes or else just buy them online.

  2. I like Nivea Cool or Dr. Bronner’s. I really like the cooling effect of minty soaps.

Dr. Bronner’s also works pretty well as shaving cream.

  3. We stayed at my mother in law’s morning place last year, all she had in the shower was loofahs and body wash. I am now a believer. Loofahs cost like a dollar, they make the body wash last forever, get you super clean.

  4. I like Irish Spring, and Dial is my usual soap.

I don’t use body wash or other liquid soaps. Too much waste. With bar soap I can stick the sliver of the last bar to the next one, and not waste any of it, and aside from the plastic wrapping, everything is used or recyclable.

  5. Irish Spring is my go to. Doesn’t break out my skin or conflict with my natural body odor, which my lady claims to like.

  6. I use Dove deep moisture or something to that effect since it’s nearly scent free. I hate the overly “manly” scents in most of the “for men” soaps. If I want to smell good that’s what my cologne is for and I don’t want it fighting with the scent of my body wash.

  7. Harry’s. Smells great and lasts a good while. Previously I always used Old Spice as well.

  8. Probably not the answer you’re looking for, but I started making soap in my garage and it’s good stuff. It’s easy, pretty cheap, and is good soap. I make 100% coconut oil soap (plus the lye and water). Takes about as much time as making a batch of cookies. Google “cold process soap” if you’re interested. Once you got the basics down, you could tweak the recipe to give the soap the right kind of properties you’re looking for.

  9. Irish Spring is way too drying for my skin, or maybe it’s the fragrance?Regardless, I used to get very dry and itchy skin,, particularly in the winter, and after much experimentation I settled on Dove unscented and I’ve never looked back.

  10. I usually use Marseille bar soap. It’s cheap and effective, plus it’s vegan. Sometimes I use Aleppo bar soap. Less cheap, very effective, nice scent, also considerably more moisturizing that Marseille soap, also vegan.

  11. I got a bar of L’Occitane a few years back. It was the first soap in a long time that didn’t dry my skin out or cause breakouts. It’s pricy, but it lasts a long time too.

  12. I’ve been using Dove body wash. The one with 1/4 moisturiser inside.

Its good at taking the oil off my forearms and stuff from working on cars and leaves my skin super smooth. Smells nice too

  13. Local goat’s milk soap, from the farmer’s market when I can get it, to be honest. Usually go with cardamom pod and oats ‘flavour’.

Best bodywash I have used is QV.

  14. My wife gets some goat milk soap every now and then that’s just awesome. It made locally by goat farmers and when we can have farmers markets again I’ll get some more.
