So I ( M 26) decided to pleasure myself by fingerring my ass for a little while. I did not go deep, only just a little inside. It was 4 hours ago, and now I have pain in lower abdomen. I cannot sit straight without pain. It’s not unbearable, but very discomforting.

For information, I did not use any lube or something

Is there something I need to worry about? What could be causing this

  1. The sort of pain you get from not using lube is usually pretty different from what you describe, it’s usually more abrasion around the opening. If this was going on you probably would have felt it in the moment, not felt it for the first time afterwards. It usually feels like a burning sensation and it usually stops after you stop the play.

There are a lot of other things that can cause pain from anal play, including pulled muscles or muscle spasms. These are usually not related to lube or lack thereof, but can result from forcing something through the anus without relaxing it, or can result from other muscles getting pulled or spasming due to you being in an unfamiliar position or poking something a weird way especially if some muscle is tense. I don’t know what position you were in, but since the lower abs aren’t directly involved in anal play, but they *are* postural muscles that are used heavily in holding the body in certain positions, especially when moving the pelvis in various ways, it could be that, in fingering yourself, you held your body in an unusual or unfamiliar position and ended up pulling a muscle or straining a muscle that was weak or hadn’t been used in the way you used it.

Also sometimes anal play can change the orientation of stuff inside the rectum or lower end of the colon, and you can sometimes get cramping or other uncomfortable sensations related to the lower digestive tract. These sensations usually feel like types of pain that overlap with sensations of needing to poop or other uncomfortable sensations that might feel more like constipation, diarrhea, or gas.

It could possibly be some other sort of pain caused by poking something internally. Sometimes if you poke the area around the urethra, prostate, or bladder, you can cause irritation which will cause pain that can take maybe a few hours or a day or so to heal. Such pain usually subsides pretty quickly. This type of pain will often manifest together with a sensation of needing to pee.

I hope this description can help you troubleshoot what kind of pain it is, i.e. lower ab pain (related to positional strain), vs. lower GI tract pain, vs. bladder/prostate/urethra pain.

It is good that the pain isn’t too bad. You might want to try getting up and walking around. Muscle pain is often made worse by sitting. Walking around will help you to use your muscles in a more familiar way which can sometimes reorient things. Also, sometimes by moving around you will get a better idea of exactly what sort of thing is causing the problem. Also it sometimes helps reorient stuff inside the body in a more comfortable position which can reduce any weirdness in the lower GI tract.
