Recently I’ve had some issues with toxic parents and my own finances. Now my partner is out of job and it’s been a really stressful time. I unfortunately don’t have many close friends around me whom I could talk to because my close circle has moved out of the city/country over the past few years.

So I called my bff of 15 years to talk to and she told me to stop whining. She kept saying that there is nothing to worry and that I’m imagining my problems because I can’t be happy.

I’m very hurt and don’t know how to deal with this. I want to explain it to her why this is wrong but I m at a loss of words

  1. Google emotional support skills as that’s what you wanted, then google invalidation in relationship as that’s what you got. Sounds like she’s a shitty friend.
