Because it snows there.
Palm trees tend to not enjoy long periods of snow.
Alpine lakes aren’t exactly conducive to plants that thrive in the tropics and in deserts.
Too cold. Look it up on a map and see if that landscape matches up with what palm trees would like.
Do palm trees grow in the Swiss alps?
Even though you may think a state is just one little micro climate, many states have vastly varying climates from desert to icy mountains.
But this is the most nyc post I’ve seen to date.
