If you love him, you’re compatible. If you don’t share interests, that’s a whole other thing you should worry about. If that’s the case, try out his interests and see if you like them. Just do it. The longer you wait, the more painful it is. You could do the whole “It’s not you. It’s me” thing with your own words, but it’s ok to do it anyway you want. The really wrong way to do it is to stay in the relationship for a long time, have kids, get really unhappy and then divorce with anger.
