Okay, I literally know that him wanting to get a hotel for the first date is a red flag but I need someone else to tell me it is lmaoo sorry.
Some background (if that’s even necessary), we just started talking about a week ago. He lives 30 minutes away and we are meeting halfway for a lunch date. We already agreed to next saturday because I was busy the last two weekends and recently he brought up the idea of him getting a hotel so we could have drinks and so that I wouldn’t have to drive back tipsy. I told him I’d think about it. We’ve discussed what we’re looking for and we’re both looking for a long term relationship. We have also discussed our sexual compatibility and that has led to some interesting conversations and now it feels like he’s pressing for me to let him get a hotel for us to spend the night at.
A few questions:
This is a red flag right?
Should I run?
Why would anyone want to book a hotel for a first date besides to just smash and dash? It seems like he just wants to hookup and ghost after.

This is huge red flags. Why is he trying to get you drunk on a lunch date? Can y’all not have 1-2 drinks and call it there? Why is he trying to push for a hotel.
