Dentists, how yellow do your teeth have to be until they are stuck that way?

  1. my wife is a dentist.

you can always whiten your teeth, as long as it isn’t composite material that’s stained, because that won’t ever whiten. the teeth have to be crowned, or the composite has to be replaced with whiter material.

side note, healthy teeth are slightly yellow. they don’t look like the toilet bowl teeth so many people have these days.

  2. Teeth are naturally yellow. Whitening them with bleach looks good but damages the enamel.

Clean teeth and gums is what to aim for. Stain remove coffee/ smoking etc. Whiten if you must but the healthy look is not healthy (but probably OK if you allow recovery)

  3. I as a man can answer this question. The the enamel that is on top of your teeth are slightly pores (tiny micro holes) and when you eat and drink things the smallest particals can seep through to below the enamel and stain your teeth. It also cause the weakening of the enamel when you let bacteria eat food partials left on your teeth from lack of brushing properly.

To unstained your teeth you need a strong de stain to seep through the pores and remove the color stain below the enamel if at all.

  4. I’m not a dentist but I believe it’s “Hard Cheddar” yellow with a hint of đŸ„‘

  5. I use Colgate renewal whitening toothpaste (it’s 3% peroxide) once a day and then I use a fluoride rinse (not a mouth wash) to protect the enamel and keep my teeth healthy and white. My teeth have a very slight “yellow” tint to them but overall their pretty white and unless you’re really paying attention they look white…I drink coffee daily and my routine seems to keep my teeth in good shape.
