Hello fellow British people. I am calling upon you today to take a look at the attached images of my beloved fridge freezer.

It is unidentifiable and it’s needing some love to bring it back to life (it needs a new freezer door gasket 50cm x 80cm).

I cannot find any information about the brand or model name/number which is preventing me from ordering a new part.

With the rise of living costs, I am struggling to afford a new freezer so I am calling upon the British public to help me out and come forward if you own a integrated fridge freezer like this one. I bought the house a couple years ago and I have reason to suspect it is a howdens kitchen.

Can you solve this mystery? Please get in touch.

  1. Can you remove the fridge door from the cupboard at all I assume its brand will be on the front looks like some screws there which if removed should release it

  2. May sound obvious – but if you think it may be a Howdens installed freezer, why not ask them? If it is, they would put you in touch with the relevant manufacturer for parts etc.

btw I am well impressed by the cleanliness and tidiness of your fridge – mine is a total chaotic shambles compared to yours…or did you tidy up before you took the photo? 🙂

  3. Measure the seals and look at the attachment points and see if you can find similar online.
You might have to remove the FF from the units to see a makers panel.

  4. Fridges and freezers usually have the model/serial number etc. sticker on the side inside the fridge/freezer.

Look on the inside wall of the fridge compartment behind the salad boxes or at the inside top and bottom behind the freezer baskets.

  5. Hi there.

White goods engineers are usually very helpful with this sort of stuff. I do agree with a previous coment, that this is most certainly a Lamona fridge/freezer. As to the model, nothing a quick google image search won’t solve

  6. Someone (*cough* fridge spotter *cough*) will be able to identify it, but the idea of pulling the seal back a bit and seeing what type it is is the best one. If you’re gentle and careful then you won’t have to wreck it, and then you’ll be able to find a suitable replacement.

[This lot have some useful guides.](https://www.fridgesealsdirect.co.uk/)

  7. My parents have the same make (I recognise the drain design at the back) , I’m there on Tuesday and I’ll see if I can take a look – ping me on weds if I forget to reply!

AFAIK, theirs was a howdens kitchen installed in the late 2000s.

  8. Neff, Siemens and Bosch appear on their site and are common brands to be used in these types of install. Looking at the guidance for locating the serial number nearly all recommend the salad drawer is pulled out for refrigerator. Bosch also suggests for freezers the label is visible when the bottom freezer drawer is pulled out have you tried taking the the bottom drawer out and looking inside?

  9. I too have a unicorn fridge that’s impossible to find spares for, Ebay has ‘universal’ fridge door seal kits that you can cut to size for about £25 if all else fails

    Good luck op!

  10. Alternatively, if the kitchen was fitted in 1 installation are there other appliances you could check to give and indication of brand? I know when I had to repair my dishwasher the labels were missing but I deduced it was an indesit model as the fridge, freezer and oven had been installed the same time. I assume some of the big kitchen fitters use the same brands across the whole install

  11. I have the same problem. Howdens kitchen. Cant find spares for oven, cartridge for tap mixer, and fridge freezer.

    They dont give a shit.

  12. OT Question to OP and maybe others: Do you all keep your ketchup in a lid up or a lid down position?

  13. Unattached the wooden doors from the freezer doors, remove any retaining screws and take the freezer out of the cupboard . Not a huge amount of work and you’ll probably find a model /manufacturer label

  14. It looks like you can unscrew the fridge/freezer from the door so maybw you could pull it out and look for branding or stickers with text dunno

  15. You’ve looked on all the inside surfaces for an ID plate or label? They’re usually tucked away on the sides.

Take the drawers out, take the shelves out, and have a good look around with a powerful torch

  16. A lot of integrated fridge freezers installed by kitchen companies are CDA. The only way you’ll know for sure though is to look at the sticker on the back.
