So I’ve (26F) been Nair creaming my vagina for as long as I can remember- the results are great and my vagina looks and feels smooth and amazing afterwards..

However about a week later it starts growing again.. with the same amount of thickness. I’ve heard waxing consistently makes the hairs grow thinner to a point where they actually STOP growing..

Sounds like a dream to me.. but is it true?

  1. why don’t you try laser hair removal?! after 10 treatments I have hardly any hair grow back and I haven’t had laser for almost 6 months

  2. I’ve been waxing for a few years. I like it, but I don’t think the hair has thinned in any significant way. A downside is that you have to wait 4-5 weeks until there is enough growth the wax again.

  3. I’ve (53F) been getting monthly Brazilian waxing for over a decade now. During my pre-menopausal years, the thickness and coarseness of the regrowth never changed. But, now that I am menopausal (for the past 3 yrs), regrowth is much thinner and sparse.

  4. 49F- I just started getting Brazilian-went 2 times so far and love it! My hubby has been asking me to do it forever and I was always scared. Not gonna lie, it’s not pleasant but for 15 mins can handle it and results have been great!

  5. It doesn’t stop growing but it grows more sparse and “softer” than shaving because shaving cuts the hair off. I don’t know if Nair is more dimilar to waxing or shaving in that regard.

I wax every 3 weeks and it is SO worth it. It grows back in the 3rd week but so sparsely that I still feel very comfortable (I don’t like hair there at ALL). Find a sugar waxer near you with plenty of experience and good reviews (see if your city has a Girl Group or anything similar on Facebook where you can ask for hair/nails/waxer recommendations etc, or ask your anonymous uni page, or your girl friends of course).

The first wax is the most painful as your skin isn’t used to it and your hair is thick. It still hurts for me but it’s so much easier and like I said, entirely worth it.

  6. I’ve been waxing for a long time and I don’t have a fluffy bush anymore my hair is significantly less and flat.

  7. That hasn’t been my experience. I shaved for almost 20 years and then my husband convinced me to start waxing. It’s been about 5 or 6 years now and while I would say it is way better than shaving, I haven’t noticed less hair growing back. It’s not prickly like it was when I shaved. It feels softer and finer but still grows back. I go every 3 weeks.

  8. So my question is how does waxing or laser hair removal work for someone who’s morbidly obese? I’m losing weight. Down like 70+ lbs but I still have to lose weight. I hate shaving it takes forever and I’m always worried about cutting myself or something plus it’s only smooth for like 3 days max and then I’m having to look at shaving again
