I usually just crawl under a warm blanket and go to sleep instead.
I switch from icecreams to soups
I live in a state that doesn’t participate in cold.
Complain about it until it gets hot again, which in Louisiana could be in the same day
I take my constant frown and my RBF out of storage and make sure they are properly applied, securely, for the winter.
Soups, candles, cozy clothes and blankets come back! And I tend to stay indoors as much as possible lol
I switch from barefeet to socks
I binge moisturize
Need to make fire every night. Won’t do morning runs or walk (scared of dark and it’s always raining). Spend much less time gardening and more reading. Sleeps far longer, napping becomes cozy hobby.
Hibernate
Stop shaving my legs
I don’t change much. I feel less of a need to shave, I guess.
I eat more casseroles and soups. Also I put on Uggs.
I put on more clothes and turn the heating up. Though with the cost of living crisis worsening I might resort to wrapping myself in a duvet instead
In general I switch my shoes from Crocs to Docs, and add a sweater on top of my normal shirts! I also have to do extra care for the dog’s dry paws and skin so we moisturize together at night lol. Otherwise I am a creature of habit and don’t change much!
I slip into a deep depression and don’t have any hobbies and struggle with basic care tasks until the sun comes back out in spring. I can normally hold off until December, but by December we don’t get much sun at all and it’s painfully cold for my joints to do anything. Rinse and repeat.
SADness and tea.
More blankets and candles.
Sweaters.
