I talk to this person I see every so often at work quite a bit and we always have awesome conversations (not just small talk) and it’s a good back and forth, not just one of us dominating the conversation. I thought we got along well and could be friends so at the end of a random email (don’t have their number) I was basically like we should hang out sometime. Didn’t get any response and it’s been a few days. We both know each other is in a serious relationship, so I don’t think this could be misconstrued as a romantic interest at all.

Am I reading too much into this? Is this a hint at rejection? Why would someone who gets along well with another person not want to be friends?

  1. Some people don’t like to mix business with pleasure. Or they may prefer to keep their personal life private. Or they may not feel the same level of friendship you do. There are many different possible reasons, most of them don’t have anything to do with who you are as a person
