The weather is about to change and my trusty p-coat is about dead. I’ve had bad experiences buying clothes from Amazon, would rather try somewhere else.

Looking for recommendations on jackets specifically.

  1. You can order a good fowley jacket online and know the quality will be good. Then people will assume you are an adventurer and salty as fuck.

  2. Buy from your highstreet. You might pay extra but at least you get to check the quality and fit before you fork over money. A good hard-wearing leather jacket is always a good bet. I had one made out of sheep skin and its zip went way before the leather did. Shame as i loved that jacket. Another option if you want something hard-wearing is to look for motorcycle jackets. Those will soak up impact from a crash so will last a long time as casual wear. Admittedly everyone will always be asking you where you parked your bike lol.

  3. I don’t buy jackets, my grandparents have bought me close to $1500 in jackets over the past 4 years that I don’t wear because either (in middle Georgia) it’s too warm in winter or they don’t fit, also don’t ever return a jacket because they’ll find out and guilt trip you to hell

  4. Shop online for pea coats from major brands, identity the ones you like, then find the retailers near you that carry them and go try them on.

  5. I get all of my jackets at the military surplus just down the road and it’s pretty cheap for cool trench coats or aviation jackets
