Hello! I’m going to be travelling to the UK in a few weeks to visit a friend and I was curious if there’s some kind of bank that would provide some temporary credit / debit card for travelers that can be reloaded with transfers / cash since I’ve heard many stories that cards from my own country (Argentina) not all of them work.

Yes, you need to look into phrases like prepay cards or currency cards.
I don’t really have any recommendations, but you should be able to find a reputable currency card where you load it in your own currency but end up with a card full British Pounds. This means you’ll know precisely how much you’re spending and won’t get stung by exchange rates.
If Wise.com do personal stuff then I highly recommend those
If you have a smartphone which can be used for apple or Google pay maybe take a look at Revolut. It’s basically a virtual bank account.
Load your local currency and spend it as the currency in whatever country your visiting with zero commission and favourable exchange rates.
You just won’t be able to withdraw cash with it.
