So I (22F) recently started a new college and during orientation I met this girl. We really hit it off and hung out the whole day. However I had to leave early and forgot to get her contact info. I never see her on campus either because our schedules are so different. Another friend I made apparently lives in her hall and sees her a lot. I texted him asking if he could get her number and send it to me. But only after I sent the text I realized that it might seem weird to ask someone for someone else’s number. He hasn’t responded and I feel like I was being creepy and put him in an awkward position. Any advice on what I should do? Am I just overreacting?

Yep that’s creepy. Try to get her full name and find her social media instead.
Hey, just wanted to let you know that imo it’s fine to ask your friend (it’s not really creepy) but it is also very good to tell your friend to give her your number first before he asks for hers.
This would put the ball in her court and give her the descison incase she wasn’t comfortable giving out her number to your friend.
Talk to your friend. Tell him you realized you gave him a dilemma and make it up to him.
If he sees her a lot, that’s cool! Maybe he’s willing to wing you by having you hang out in their hall for some time and you will eventually bump into her right? Alternatively, write a clever piece of paper note and ask your buddy to hand it to her.
