There are forums on Reddit that deal with this topic, and also more in depth websites out there for people who are more into it. The short answer is yes, there are many women who are into taking dominant roles, and many men who want to take submissive roles, to various degrees.
Some people do switch between either role depending on the scenario. I’ve never been able to do that myself though.
