Dexter. Just pretend it ended in S4 and reread the books.
This one’s personal – The Vampire Diaries. I cannot even begin to explain how let down and pissed off I’ve been by that show for YEARS.
Handmaid’s Tale. The book aligns with the first season iirc, but after that, although I enjoy the plot, I find they draw every little moment out and there are far too many zooming in on June’s angry eyes scenes. Just feels incredibly slow
The Haunting of Hill House
The book and 1963 film are all you really need.
Two big ones I’m going to get a lot of hate for.
Wheel of Time – I’ve heard Sanderson did an admirable job taking over, but it’s not worth slogging through books 5-10 to get there.
A Song of Ice and Fire (he’s never going to finish it. He’s going to die first. Just let it go.)
Everyone knows GoT went downhill in Season 5. But it actually started suckiing in Season 4.
Grey’s Anatomy
Lucifer season 6 has a terrible ending that is both abuse apologia and evangelical Christian nonsense. It’s shockingly bad and for some viewers ruined the entire show, to the point where they can’t rewatch it. Thankfully, earlier season finales can work as better endings for people like me who reject the season 6 finale.
Dear White People, the first three seasons were good and at the end of Season 3, they had started to branch out the story line. Only to find out in season 4, they never close up any loose ends from the previous season, and they turn it into a musical 🫠
The Glades. It’s so good and then it just ends on the biggest cliff hanger ever to never return
Glee. First season was pretty great and the second was ok. But after that point all the original cast left the school and the directors didn’t really know where to go with it so they just added more people and it just didn’t have the same vibe. And with the loss of Corey (Finn) in season 5 it lost the spark that I loved from season 1. I’ve watched the series like 4 times and I cannot tell you what the names of the students in the 4th season are.
Grey’s. Scandal. How to Get Away with Murder. Shonda always gets me hooked with solid early seasons and then things go completely off the rails.
Is anyone here gonna say Riverdale or should I be the first one to say!!!?
