Does anyone else ever ask their husband this question?
We’ve been in this house 20+ years. Both of us cook and spend lots of time in the kitchen.
Hubby was rooting around the walk-in pantry and complained he couldn’t find any toothpicks. I pointed across the kitchen to the full container sitting next to the stove – same place we’ve kept them forever. Visible any time you look that direction.
Turns out he got into a jar of appetizer picks in the pantry. I slightly relocated the container yesterday when reaching for the vanilla extract. I remember wondering why only a few in jar, but didn’t think much of it. Not something I use often.
Figuring out that was what he’d been using, I asked if he noticed – having apparently gone through dozens – they likely didn’t work well. These are much thicker, only have a point on one end, and decorative at the top. (Kind like mini skewers.) He said he just thought I’d bought some cheap toothpicks. 🤭
