This is in part an update to my last post, but as a summary, I (F18) met a guy in my chemistry lecture (M19) and we went out to coffee together after our chem midterm today!
He paid for my coffee which was a surprise to me because I’ve never been in a position where a guy could pay for anything of mine (haven’t been on a “date” yet lol) and we sat inside Starbucks and talked for two hours!
The banter was there, and we got to sharing about MBTI which we’re both interested in (I’m an ENFP and he’s an INTJ—for those that are unfamiliar, there’s basically a meme about how compatible the two personality types are), we talked about family and what I’m interested in studying and life goals and he was so interested in knowing about me and he was such a good listener and AHHHh! It was amazing
Anyways, I like the guy, but idk whether today was actually a date, but I want to date him, or at least try to. First question is: what’s post-semi-date etiquette? How soon do I wait before texting him? Second question: how do I try to get the next time we hang out be a date? Would it be too strong to ask him out on a date without talking to him about it before hand?
