Hi, I don’t have many friends, but one of the friends I do have (let’s call him jon) is going to an activity in a few days, he didn’t invite me. He’s probably going with other 2 people who are staying at his home for the weekend. This activity is not a party or anything like that, it’s just a flea market.
I and him are good friends, and we were actually together working on something when a mutual friend came over and started talking, in the conversation, he eventually mentioned that he was going to that flea market, our mutual friend asked if another mutual friend of theirs was also going, jon said he didn’t know. So, I’m not even sure if he invited anyone.
I really wanted to go with him, but I don’t know if I should ask him if I can go. If I ask, he’s probably going to say “yes” but I don’t want to be there if they don’t want to hang out with me. I don’t know if he didn’t invite me because he doesn’t want me there or if he didn’t because he thinks I wouldn’t want to go.
What do you think? Should I ask?

If he finds you weird for hitting him up and asking whether you can join him to the flea market, then *he* needs social skills improvement.
