Like the title says, my [28M] girlfriend [25F] works in a theater and is basically obsessed with it. Every time I talk to her the conversation starts drifting at some point towards a play or musical or some drama at her job. For her it isn’t just a hobby, it’s like her identity and her whole world. I don’t mind talking about it every now and then but it’s starting to drive me crazy.
Especially because musical theater is literally the thing I’m least interested in in this world. I’ve tried to get into it and I just don’t care. I have many many other interests and can talk with just about anyone, but theater I just don’t like.
It’s really frustrating because my girlfriend is very attractive and she’s super supportive and loyal and understanding. She’s always there for me and comes from a really good family with good morals. Those types of people have been really hard for me to find. So I’m not really sure what to do about the situation.

I just broke up with my girlfriend of 2 years, not because anything is wrong with her, but because we just don’t share the same interests. I want someone who enjoys the same things that I do. It was hard and it kinda sucks but I felt relieved as soon as I did it.
