Hi everyone!

Although I am 27 years old, I am a bit inexperienced on the subject of sexuality and could use some advice.

I have lived for years with a man who has always repressed my sexuality, my desires and ignored my requests. Although I initially thought of myself as sexually curious over time he led me to repress my desires making me think I was even insane for wanting certain things.

He never accepted, for example, that I wanted to try a sex toy (or, even, that I gave myself pleasure alone). Fortunately, I have left that relationship behind and am free to experiment, but I am overwhelmed by the options. I would like to try to buy a sex toy but from a quick online search I realized that this world is more varied than I could have imagined.

Is there an entry level sex toy? Something that works for everyone? How do I figure out what is right for me?

  1. I’ve got a We-Vibe Tango, and I absolutely love it. It gets the job done every time for me.

  2. Just like with food…don’t shop when you are hungry. Be conservative with regard to size, no matter where it’s going.

  3. Girlfriend, please get yourself a we-vibe melt if you love clitoral stimulation or a we-vibe Nova 2 if you also like penetration/g-spot. Or better yet, get both!

  4. The go to toys that my wife really loves our a battery powered wand and the clit sucking toy. We have a womanizer but I’ve heard good things about other brands also.

  5. Go to an actual sex shop and ask them. Tbh first time for me was awkward, first like any retail store they welcome you and ask you if there’s anything they can help you find. Just let them know it’s your first time buying from there and what kind of things you’re looking for.

  6. If you get a dildo you’re meant to use silicone, they don’t accumulate germs like other materials do

  7. It seems that almost every woman I’ve been with started with a simple clitoral vibrator. Invest some money and get one that’s body safe, powerful and quiet. The Lelo Gigi 2 does double duty as a G-spot and clitoral vibrator. Plus, they can be used during sex if you choose.
