Hello, Im m18 and I consider myself very popular and attractive, I have a lot of friends and one of my traits that I hate and currently in progress to change is that Im naive and believe everyone.
Namely this dude 20m who I had known for one year (lets call him Bill). We were hanging out and everything and he seemed like a good dude to be around. Little did I know he was jealous af bcs of me. He is such a beta male that try so hard to be alpha male. This one girl that he had been texting her for 3 months didn’t want to be with him but she wanted to have intercourse with me in less than night after meeting her.
That hurt him and friends in our group started teasing him for that. Out of jealousy he started making stories about me that Im such a douche, such asshole and all and of course everyone believed in that stories till I had shown them who I really are and to his surprise everyone finds me very humble and kind.
After some time he found gf and I was more than happy for him and her while everyone made fun of them both I stand to his side and just confronted everyone who made jokes about them. He was scared that maybe I would have something with his gf and he started making stories behind my back to her. He said to her like “don’t you dare go with him alone we are done for if you do so” where I was so pissed because he made me look like a rapist or some freak.
Anyways he broke up with his gf while working in another town and today he came back to our town and immediately he started calling me to hang out, that I was his “brother for life” but I learnt everything he done to me a few days ago and I am so sick of all that I cant stand it anymore.
How should I best confront him and do you think there is any more friendship between us because I think that there isnt anything to keep us being friends. Thanks 😊
TL:DR “Brother for life” backstabbed me almost ruining my reputation, wanted to confront him eventually to break up friendship

Do not confront him. And don’t even hang around this toxic person.
Be indifferent.
To be indifferent means that you have no emotion, no life, no love, no interest in something.
If you confronted him it would be showing emotion towards him and showed you gave a crap about him.
Just leave him be. He’s already shown his true colors. You don’t need that in your life.
I’m not really sure what aspect of social skills this post asking about, but maybe the stuff in here about communication or conflict resolution may help?
