My first year in post secondary
You’ve read it all before so I’ll just sum it up
17M, no friends (besides work), generally sociable, just shy. I only have lectures this semester, and I haven’t had friends or a gf since last year in high school. I’ve heard college is a great place to socialize or whatever, but im not seeing that as of right now.
Any advice?

Generally speaking your best bet would be to join a club or society that’s centered around something you’re interested in. A lot of the reason we have an easier time making friends in grade school is because we’re forced into close spaces with the same people over and over and we have a shared activity.
By picking something you’re interested in (you don’t have to know a lot about the thing, just be willing to be passionate) you come pre-loaded with stuff to talk about and often tasks to share. That makes the transition to friendship generally easier than just trying with whoever.
