Looking for some advice. We recently had a beautiful baby boy, our 1st together but our 5th between us. My partner took the 1st week off of work to be with us, but is now going back to work full time and I am an emotional disaster. We worked together so we have spent most of our time together, so the thought of being without him all day is making me crazy. I know ill eventually fall into a routine with him being at work, but I just miss him so much and even keeping myself busy I just end up crying.
Looking for any advice as to how to cope better with being without him

  1. You might have some postpartum depression going on too. I don’t know much about that as it wasn’t something people talked a lot about when I had my kids, but I’m sure others on here can share.

As for missing your guy, that can be real when you are used to spending so much time working together. Been there. Maybe join a Mom’s group or something and start investing in some new relationships. Sometimes churches, community centers, ymcas, or even libraries have programs like this you can get involved in.

  2. He misses you I’m thinking but maybe not. Work can be an oppressive bastard crazy its own right. Try to think of other things. Congratulations on the baby. You going to name it?
