I hope this is the correct place to ask such a question

I recently booked a 1 way flight from London to Kuala Lumpur – using Kayak’s price comparison feature I found it cheapest to use a company called TravelJunction. However, I now see they have loads of terrible reviews suggesting it is a scam.

Is it possible that a reputable website such a Kayak would promote a scam?

Has anyone here ever used TravelJunction before?

Ofcourse I know that those who have a bad experience are more inclined to review but I am still concerned overall as all 5 star reviews appear to be from bots.

If you are looking for attractions, recommendations, places to live, eat, drink, or do, [take a look at WikiVoyage](https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/London) or [search TripAdvisor](https://www.tripadvisor.com/Search?singleSearchBox=true&q=London).

  2. They are unlikely to be a scam but they might have terrible service.

If you’ve got a layover for example, checking out and back in with your luggage will be entirely your problem and if something goes wrong this website is almost certainly not going to help you in time.

That’s just one example. If your journey goes fine then it won’t make a difference.

  3. I haven’t use them but used a few agents with so-so reviews from Kayak (LycaFly, GoToGate and Crystal Travel to name a few).

The main reason agents get a lot of negatives is because they sometimes have old fares up and there is a lag between you paying and them actually booking the flight. They sometimes email customers (or um, don’t, and people find out their flight isn’t booked) saying they can’t book you at the rate quoted.

As long as the price you paid wasn’t massively lower than any other agent you should be fine, but even beyond that, if you paid by credit card you have good protection anyway.

Once you get a PNR (6 letter code) you can usually check on the airline website that your ticket has actually been confirmed.

  4. Their trustpilot reviews look fine, although every company seems to have fine trustpilot reviews. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to Yelp.

  5. I dont think it’s a scam, but rather they are just pretty shit with customer service and make mistakes.
