Hi

I’m a minimalist, so I don’t like to buy excessive products (obviously I do buy what’s necessary).

What is a simple, practical, easy and quick skincare routine for men’s face skin because I get face acne.

Please recommend some products that don’t require several extra products.

I prefer you recommend something that’s like a 3 in 1 instead of like 10 different things because that’s way too much.

  1. Literally just wash your face with a cloth every day. Not too roughly, not with soap, and not with truly hot water.

Done. Maybe use a moisturizer before bed if you really want to.

  2. I used to really struggle with acne I fixed it by using body/face wash on my face in the shower and moisturise when I’m out with a face moisturizer and body moisturizer for my shoulders and bam no more acne

  3. I use an apricot face scrub from the grocery store and that’s it. When I get dry or itchy I use some of the prescription hydrocortisone cream I have but usually don’t need to.

  4. I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

  5. Minimalism is very anti top tier skincare from what I understand lol

However personally I at least wash my face with cold water whenever my face begins to feel remotely oily

Also in the shower I start with hot water then end with ice titanic feeling cold water that stings

It helped with my breakouts in high school

Then of course at least use lotion then keep it with you in your car or bag etc whenever you’re feeling dry

Also my SO has convinced me to use sunscreen on a daily basis now so that helps a lot although I’m looking for a new bottle that isn’t sticky as hell

  6. Hot shower to open pores, use some face wash with some form of scrubbing agent in it (I use Harry’s peppermint), finish shower by shocking with cold water to close pores. Helps wake you up too.

Don’t dry face with same towel as ass.

If you’re feeling froggy use some lotion after drying.

Wear sunscreen and hats when in the sun.

  7. One of the things that helped me was switching to ” Neutrogena frangrace free original gentle facial cleansing Bar” soap. The bar soap or the liquid, both work.

Most soaps break me out even long after the age I should still be getting acne. You could buy one bar and see if it takes care of things, before trying actual acne formula skin care.

  8. It depends on what sort of acne you have. Do you have acne due to a fungal or microbial infection? Then I suggest something like Metrogel from your dermatologist.

Also vitamin C serum works really well for acne, but many formulations have different forms of glycerin which could make the consistency really sticky and unpleasant.

You can also make your own vitamin C lotion by buying a high IU vitamin E cream, then dissolving vitamin C crystals into heated rosewater or aloe vera water then mixing the water into the lotion until you get the consistency that you want. This is quite easy to do, you can customise ingredients and actually much less expensive than buying creams on the commercial market.

There’s also a nice, high quality and inexpensive brand available at Walmart called 100% Pure Centella Asiatica serum which is a Korean brand that is good for acne prone skin.

  9. African Black Soap cured my acne. It dries the skin though so I use it twice a week and follow with argan oil.

  10. Step 1) Wash your face with a skin sensitive soap and water every day.

Step 2) Wear skin sensitive sunscreen with moisturizer on your face every day.

  11. 1) Use mineral oil as a shaving oil and apply generously. Apply shaving cream and shave with a single-blade, disposable razor; dispose after one use.

    2) Wash face with gentle facial cleanser like cerave.

    3) Forget all the bullshit moisturizers and products. Wet your face as much as possible with water and apply a generous amount of mineral oil to your face. Pat dry with a towel. Won’t feel oily at all after 1-2 minutes. Make sure to apply it whenever you get out of the shower too while your face is still wet.

Stay hydrated. This is criminally underrated for skin care.

Make sure you’re washing your bedding at least once a week, especially your pillow cases.

Avoid hot showers and hot water directly on your face. The heat is bad for your skin. Never more than just warm, cold is even better.

That’s it. Seriously try the mineral oil, I’ve used everything and nothing came close to this simple solution. It’s the all-in-one you’re looking for.

  12. Cleanser (lots of simple DIY ones like salt scrubs) + manual exfoliation with textured washcloth + moisturizer doesn’t take much time and is inexpensive.

Diet and lifestyle (especially sleep) can affect skin, too. There are still some cosmetics companies trying to convince people they don’t for obvious reasons.

  13. Wash your face with soap as you shower. Not only saves time, doesn’t make you sound like a little bitch asking about facial products online.

  14. I just use head and shoulders 2-in-1 over my entire head. It’s already in my hair and my face is so close. So I just slather it all over my head, then rinse.
