When I had MySpace, I just changed my relationship status to “In a Relationship.” I guess it was a hard reveal.
I posted a picture of us with the caption “by the way” and have not mentioned him in any way since.
This isn’t a thing I thought about remotely. At all. My life is my life, not a performance on social media. My partner doesn’t love having pictures of him taken or posted, so I… don’t do that. I told my friends (irl) that I was seeing someone, and told them about him. Eventually they met him. That’s kind of it.
It’s not something I’ve ever done. I was with my ex for 12 years. If you’d looked at either of our profiles, you’d have thought we were both single. I don’t feel the need to use social media to put on a show.
I recently put i was engaged on my fb🥰
Just post some pictures of yourselves at an event or doing an activity. People will figure it out if they don’t already know.
