Ok currently in a crisis. Interview on Monday, they want 3 pieces of ID. Photo ID – my drivers license, Right to Work – My Passport, Proof of Address – uhhhhhh.

HSBC don’t send bank statements in the post anymore, 20 year olds dont tend to have gas or leccy bills.

I guess my only other option is to print a bank statement out and try my luck.

Fucked it this time i reckon.

Any advice is appreciated, cheers

  1. You can walk into a branch and ask them to print one out too, it’s worked for me in the past. Everything’s digital these days even bills.

  2. Surely your passport satisfies proof of ID and right to work, and driver’s license for address?

  3. A printed bank statement should be valid. I think I’ve used that sometimes. The only advantage of electronic statements is that they save on print outs, envelopes and stamps

  4. Not fucked it. Just explain the HSBC situation, if they want an official bank copy you just have to supply the info before you start your job.

Don’t flap, a print out is absolutely fine for now- until you get a job offer.

  5. Is this for id and dbs check?
As driving licence and passport together is fine
But make sure the addresses match your address on your application

  6. Are mobile phone contracts considered a utility?
If so, you can use one of those. Download a pdf of a bill.

  7. I think as long as it’s some form of documentation that shows your name an address you should be fine.. worst comes to worst if you don’t have the appropriate documentation by the interview they will just ask you to drop it in at a later date..

Phone the bank and see if they can print you one (if yours is open tomorrow). If not, what time is the interview Monday? If it’s not first thing you might be able to pop in as soon as the bank opens!

  8. I have printed the pdfs from nationwide for what I think is a very similar reason to what you have and there was no issue.
