By inhibited I don’t mean in a pathological way, more of a character feature. But if you want to share anyway feel free

  1. I have a ritual which is better than therapy.

Once a month, I cancel one day, I go to the Barber’s have 20 minute haircut and chat, I walk home with earphones in, I turn off the lights, Have a shower in darkness, I then watch movies, I eat takeaway.

During this day I don’t check emails, I don’t go to the gym, I don’t diet because every day I do apart from my self are day.

No one knows about this, it’s my wonderful secret.

  2. Yeah it’s difficult to admit but I take great pleasure in beating my kids, always have. They will get upset or cry or do stupid kid things and that just makes me beat them even worse. It’s not my fault you suck at street fighter alpha 3. I’ve shown you all the moves.

  3. Hiking, sex, exercise.

Though “emotionally inhibited” sounds like a social disability. Maybe I’d describe myself as emotionally restrained or conservative.

  4. I take a month off once every two years to travel and party. Going for 23 months straight of near sobriety to one month of unrelenting messiness is deeply cathartic (and unsafe, but I have no dependents).

  5. Probably games with my mates. One dude takes it too far though and tells us his darkest moments…

  6. “A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind. This one a long time have I watched. All his life has he looked away…to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing.”

  7. No, I don’t have such an activity. I keep myself on a tight leash with strict standards for living my best life. I have let myself get too lax and lazy, so I will find alternate ways to “let go” that don’t waste time.

  8. No, not an intentional one. I tend to have a short leash on my emotions because they already run roughshod far too often. Willingly letting go feels like taking my hands off the wheel while already going down the highway at 100mph with no brakes.

  9. Playing sports. If I’m doing a physical activity, I do not hold back. From running to boxing to rock climbing, I become a savage when I have an outlet to exert myself.

  10. TAPS, in the right setting, while its being played I let myself express the emotions I feel. Its my tribute to those Ive lost, to those far better than me who didnt make it.

  11. I’m not particularly good at any one thing, but I’ve picked up the “Jack of All Trades” trait from my dad. I can do a lot of things to an above-amateur level.

Martial arts, parkour, car maintenance, pattern recognition, memorize license plates for fun, 3D printing, etc.

I retain information really well, but that’s about it 😬
