  1. It would depend on your partner’s preference. I don’t like celebrating my birthday at all, which my SO is aware of. She wouldn’t plan anything for me knowing that I’d rather just have a quiet day to myself.

    Conversely, I know that she likes to celebrate her birthday, so I ask what she’d like to do a month or so ahead of time and then make it happen.

  2. Depends. If you want something, say something. I personally didn’t care for anything special but my SO was nice enough to plan something out for me and my friends.
