hey I’m david and let me tell you the backstory first
as i grew up as a child. i was really sensitive and was a ‘people pleaser’
i never was aware of it till i was 15 and it’s when i started to make the change. i got taller and stronger physically and mentally , BUT there’s still people who treat me as I’m the same kid who would go cry in the corner or would get hurt . now, i don’t care about it. or do i? cause i’ve been through a lot. and idc about ppl’s reaction about me. i just live my life and trying to improve myself every day. but there is still people that treat me like I’m stupied or i can get hurt easily or they think they can use me easily. why is this happening? (note-those ppl ik for years. 5-8years)
i changed as person a lot. why ppl still treat me like I’m some dumb

  1. People don’t really change much in how they treat you from what I have experienced. We don’t really operate on the assumption that others change a lot.

Everyone wants to size you up, put you in certain boxes and that’s it. It’s easier that way.

It’s important that you can feel the change, but if you really need that affirmation, you will probably get that easier from how a new crowd of people treats you.

  2. >or do i?

    Yes, you do.

    > and idc about ppl’s reaction about me.

    vs.

    > why ppl still treat me like I’m some dumb
