I have a casual fwb. We’ve known each other for maybe a year. I mostly trust them. I don’t believe we discussed avoiding other partners though so I’m not sure that’s happening. My concern is him not having recent STI and HIV testing (though on PreP I think?).

I had just trimmed downstairs w/ an electric trimmer, and didn’t think about skin irritation. We just engaged in mutual masturbation. He used his cum as lube for me after he finished. My cock burned like heck toward the end and for maybe an hour afterwards. I looks as irritated as it would if you had jerked it dry for an hour (broken skin and small cuts, it’d bleed if you pick at it)? (I have previously tested negative for HSV 1 and 2 in a blood test).

I’ve got reduced sensation in my genitals and they were patient, and kept going, until I finished (I couldn’t feel the pain until later). **How’s the right way to ask my fwb’s status & and explain why?** I should probably get tested in a month or so anyways.

TLDR: cum on broken skin for a while, not sure of partner status. How do you ask where it’s not too awkward or seeming neurotic? It’s probably a good time for both to get tested anyway regardless. In the interim, I’m just applying neosporin

Thank you!

  1. You should get tested now, not in a month, and then share those results with him.

In the meantime you can have a conversation, either telling him exactly what your concern is as you told us, or just talking about his testing/health practices in general.

  2. You’re right to wait a little to get tested. Most of the times a positive won’t show up right away if he was positive. From what I understand it can take quite a few weeks. But get your penis checked out if you have sores for sure. Might have just not been enough lubricant. But to be on the safe side get checked out in a few weeks.
