We have been on only 3 dates, all been great
He split with his Ex 18 months ago but last night on date 3 said how he missed his old family life and wondered if he had done the right thing to leave the family home.
He has a Son (9) who he now only sees 2/3 times a week. He said that he knows that his relationship with his ex would never be the same or work but still not what I wanted to hear.
With this red flag should I see how it goes, we are only 3 dates in and these have been every other weekend so not moving quick which has suited us both and they have been great. Or should I run for the hills.
TL;DR – guy I’m dating isn’t over his ex.

If you continue dating this guy you’re going to miss out on someone who is actually ready to be someone’s partner. Plus you’re always going to feel like you’re second best.
Maybe he just meant he missed being a full time father. That’s a completely different thing than not being over his ex.
I’d sit him down and ask him what he really thinks/feels and then go from there.
