You could also try a software KVM, like Synergy, that lets you have the two computers set up side by side but share a single mouse and keyboard (your mouse pointer just moves between the two machines like magic)
If your monitors have multiple inputs and switch automatically based on what signals are detected, you can get by with a cheap simple USB switch and hub.
I have my work laptop and home desktop hooked up to my monitor, mouse, keyboard and webcam via a USB hub built into my monitor. I choose the machine using the USB switch and the monitor will switch the input to the right machine.
I just use a Dell dock and then switch the USB C cable between devices
Not sure of the exact model(s) that would suit, but Startech stuff is usually pretty good for this.
I’d use a docking station for your monitors / USB peripherals. Then just switch your work and personal laptop through the one USB-C cable which comes out of the docking station.
The monitors are too much of a pita, I use separate boxes for usb and each monitor
