What do you do before a date that your date doesn’t know about?

I’ll go first:

I look at the menu before I head to a restaurant and know what I want before I get there. I do this so I have more time to focus on my date and appear decisive and more confident.

I’m married now and still do it.

Well first I’d probably inform them we’re about to go on a date.

I kid, I kid.I don’t know if I have any secret thing I do, except that probably none of my dates ever knew how careful I was in creating an outfit that matched together.

  2. Pre-marriage, Rub one out so’s I can be a gentleman 😉

Now, we just hope the teen is fed and out of trouble so we can eat.

  3. I always take my dates to the local dog park. It’s pratically free, and it’s not like you gotta check if there are free seats or anything. Dinner dates are for girlfriends, not for random women I’m not in a relationship.

  4. Map out the directions so I know when to leave so that I get there just a few minutes early. When I arrive, reread our entire exchange so that I have some bullet points to reference. Then just tell any anxiety to shut the hell up and dive in.

  5. Pretty much that. Let’s say we’re meeting at a park to go on a walk, it’s either a park that I know well so I already know directions or if it’s a new place for me then I’ll look up maps ahead of time to know my way around come date time. I’ll look at menu options so I know what I want and can offer suggestions. I look into parking situations so I can be decisive with parking instead of wondering around looking clueless. These things aren’t exclusive to dates though, I just do this with daily life to make things easier for myself.
