Story 1: A boy goes duck or goose hunting with his father and uncle on a very small island of the coast of I don’t know where. The island submerges with the tide. The boat they used to get to the island drifts off and the cold water gets higher and higher.
Story 2: Two boys, a white boy and a Native American boy are friends at school for the simplest of reasons – they share the same middle name. In the end though, we realize that’s not enough to be the basis of a friendship.
