Just started college and it’s been going great! I’ve always had my own space and privacy growing up. So this is a absolutely new experience. Me and my roommate get along in general but she’s been brought up with a extremely conservative background and thus I’m not comfortable talking about this with her. Also I’ve heard / read a bunch of posts saying try the showers (which are communal for my dorm) or work it out with her schedule (terrified of getting walked in on). Would love some perspective/thoughts on how did y’all work it out?

i memorized my roommate’s schedule so i’d know when she’d be gone for about an hour or i just used the shower. good luck (& w college too) !!
In the bathroom? That’s why I did when I was a kid since we had a “no locks on bedroom doors” policy
