For a while I have been struggling with social skills and I wondered how I was going to get better. Well I found this show called Cobra Kai and it has helped me alot!

The show is a continuation of karate kid. Basically it shows how Daniel Laruso and Johnny Lawrence would act as adults. Overall it is a real good show and shows alot of appreciation to the originally trilogy.

But what stuck out to me is how well the characters interact with each other. It shows how children who lack confidence can gain confidence. But it also shows how to not allow your anger to consume you.

There’s your stereotypical high school drama but it’s sprinkled with real life scenarios such as parenting. To me, it’s very realistic of how people respond emotionally to actions. And it has taught me how I should approach others. I would paused emotional Scenes to see if I would react smiliar. Especially the parts the romantic parts.

They really show development from shy to confident and the behaviorism of both sides.

The biggest lesson I learn is the idea of striking first. In the show, this means not allowing the enemy time to attack. But in life, this means not allowing others to make a move before you do.

For example, I see a girl or a people I want to talk to. I strike first and not wait for others to do so.

Let me know if you guys have seen the show or have done smiliar things to gain social skills
