Me and my boyfriend have been dating for six months now.
A lot of problems have been arising, he never texts me to start a conversation, I constantly try to text him when little things happen but he has literally only started one conversation with me on text messages.
He has also never really made plans with me, pretty much 90% of the time it was me trying to make plans with him which is for some reason really hard too. He goes to the gym like every day and works and goes to school. So I see him like once a week. I confronted him about it three times and now I see that he is putting in the effort, but he still cancels plans and then doesn’t reschedule. And I’m still only seeing him once a week. And every time I confront him he swears he wants to see me so badly and that he loves me so much, but then why do I feel like I shouldn’t have to tell him to make plans if he really wanted to. I recently told him to text me more, and even if he listens and texts me more, does he really want to if I had to tell him to.
There’s also a few other things he does that can be quite hard for me to accept, but my mane worry is wether he actually loves me or just loves the idea of me.
I will say that when we are together I feel very loved by him and that he is very good to me, and we have a lot of fun together. I don’t want to break up with him but I need some hard true advice.

  1. If you say a thing that’s bothering you and he changed for one day and does the same the next day i think it’s time to let go. The efforts are not equal.

  2. My (f17) boyfriend (m18) is the same way. Either he’s gotten too comfortable and is confident he can do below the bare minimum without you leaving or he’s genuinely just kinda emotionally dumb. Fine line to walk but up to you to figure out. 😕
