What’s a courting gesture that you would like to do, but are afraid it will be seen as weird?

  1. Drop a quarter in her nearly empty drink and say “hey that was my quarter!?”

She says something to the effect to “why did you put a quarter in my drink?”

And I say “oh so this is my fault!?”

She says something like “yes! You put the quarter in there!”

And I say “ok ok you win! I’ll buy you a drink! ;-)”

I have the confidence to pull this off but fear it’ll be mistaken as me trying to date rape by putting something in her drink. That would be a horrible misinterpretation but also a plausible one.

  2. Come show up out the blue. With flowers a box of chocolates, wine, weed, and a card. Just say “ Hey whenever you’re not busy here’s my card. contact me” and walk away.

  3. Going up to a girl and talking to her. It’s kind of awkward and I feel like nowadays most women don’t want guys going up to them to talk in public.

  4. At a restaurant, I let my wife get seated first and simply put a hand on the back of her chair as she scoots in. It’s a throwback gesture, but my wife gets a little thrill each time.
