According to you, what should be the frequency and duration of “Internet Holidays“, time where you stay away from Internet to protect you mental health?

  1. I never heard of this term, but for me it worked to build it up a bit. I once read the book ‘The Power of The Ritual’ which suggested that you could take inspiration from the sabbath and take a day in the weekend to stop using electronic devices. That really struck a chord with me: focusing on myself, friends/family, a really nice dinner. No phones or tv during or after.

Now, I like to ‘unplug’ for an entire weekend, or just designated weeknights.

I also try to practice digital minimalism all week. But that’s been a bit hard lately. For me, it works better to completely shut it down than to try to use it less.

  2. I’ve personally never felt the need to stay away from the internet for my mental health.

  3. I feel like I have a healthy balance, I tend to only use the internet at home, aside from listening to music outside while exercising and stuff, it doesn’t really follow me.

I never felt it was harming my mental health
